Kushal is a Gemini 🐍 from East Brunswick, NJ. He’s a prospective Global Affairs major (and is currently accepting prayers for the status of his application). Outside of OOTB, he is involved in YIRA, Yale Dems, and his residential college, and he writes for Korean Culture Scene about kpop. Ever enigmatic, Kushal has many hidden talents; among them are crying while watching Korean music videos and movies and ruining his own instagram feed. His favorite foods are mac and cheese, nachos, and cheese fries (“notice a trend?????????????????”), and if he could join any kpop group he would start his own and be the CENTER of attention.
Come see Kushal take center stage today as he sings an OOTB favorite, “Bottom of the River.” We’re so excited to show off Kushal & all our other babies—see you in Stiles tonight at 9!
Although her name is comprised of two colors, Amber’s favorite is of course OOTBlue. Amber is a Cancer in Pauli Murray College, and she hails from the far, distant, mysterious land of New Haven, Connecticut. This spicy soprano has a knack for creative art as well, as she blesses us with chalkboard doodles every rehearsal and is currently pursuing the Creative Writing concentration within the English major. (Putting her on blast for a hot sec, Amber once said that she wanted to be an English professor, but had no clue how to spell ‘professor’). Furthermore, Amber’s musical skills go beyond her incredible OOTBelting, as she can play both the piano and trumpet masterfully. And when asked which superpower she wanted, Amber elected for super sonic speed.
And that’s all for now on the wonderful Amber Green! Come see her tomorrow and be dazzled by her performance of “She Wolf.”
Evan is our third Scorpio baby who adds to our contingent of southern OOTBites, coming from Savannah, GA. And in terms of academic pursuits, he is pursuing the Physics major. In addition to dishing out ravishing bass notes, Evan plays IM ping-pong and is a member of the Yale Undergraduate Aerospace Association. Rock(et) on, Evan! His singing abilities don't stop there either, as Evan has the skill to ~overtone~, which is this magical power to produce two pitches at once. This stunning bass also has a knack for acting as well: (1) if you dig around his timeline, you’ll find a video of him channeling the force in a Star Wars self-made film; (2) as a little kid, he spent entire holiday weeks unrelentingly wearing a Spider Man costume; and (3) in high school, he starred in a few short films where he was brutally murdered. Very poignant parts you’ve played, Evan. Finally, when posed with the challenging prompt to name an imaginary pet blowfish, Evan responded with “Soda Pop.” Please post your ratings in the comments section for this name.
And that concludes our post on the ever-ootbright, ootblazin’ Evan Blasy. Come hear his amazing rendition of “Bad Moon Rising” this Saturday at 9:00!
Reina is an Aries who hails from Alameda, CA, an island in the Bay Area, and she is a potential double major in Cognitive Science and Ethnicity, Race, & Migration. In addition to her phenomenal riffs, Reina shares her insane skills on the field as a varsity athlete with the Yale Women’s Soccer Team. In the little spare time she has, Reina taps into her artsy side and does water color art and film photography. Not only that, but she freaking kills at Mario Kart. She, in fact, challenges you to a match on Rainbow Road: “srsly play me ur gonna get whooped.” Eloquent af, Reina. Our stunning soprano also loves the stage spotlight as well: in her fourth grade debut, she played the role of ‘Tree’ in the Jungle Book — and despite only being casted for one scene, she stood onstage for the entire show. Truly treerific. And finally, when asked which body part she wouldn’t mind losing, she uttered “pinkie toe’s gotta go.” BUT HOW WILL YOU PLAY SOCCER AND STAND AS A TREE, REINA?!?!!?
Please join us in welcoming this multitalented queen!!! and come let her slay you this Saturday at 9:00 PM
Kevin is a Scorpio/ENTJ/Slytherin who joins OOTB from “sexy suburban little Long Island NY.” A possible anthropology, sociology, or neuroscience major, Kevin supplements his time riffing in rehearsals with a variety of other extracurriculars, including being Events Director of MedX, a Community Health Educator, a tutor for Students of Salaam, a member of Hear Your Song, and a dancer in Peristalsis. Kevin once cried over an episode of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”. Also, his presence in the group has expanded our contingent of former YouTube stars (looking at you, musicbysar), as Kevin’s middle school vlogs garnered over 150 subscribers. In closing, Kevin would like to leave you with the words, “follow my Insta @kev.nchen thank u <3 lolz.”
